Motivating factors for seeking this position: Help Emmaus reflect the attitude of Pope Francis - to be a very accepting community.

Personal Biography: I have been a member of Emmaus for 8 years.  I love our parish and would like to further serve on the Parish Council.  Participation in Christ Renews His Parish, the Lector program at Mass, and the choir have served to deepen my faith and love of God through working with many terrific people in our community.  Having survived apendical cancer two years ago, I feel very grateful for all the gifts in my life and would love to share that attitude with others.  Our parish can become more of a centerpiece for all of Lakeway to participate.  Pope Francis has set a wonderful tone of acceptance and love of all...I would like to help our parish emulate that leadership.
